           Benson will celebrate 4th of July starting with our parade at 9:00am. the

           festivities will move to Lions Park at 10:30 for our yearly "Water Fight". After

           the Water Fight, there will be entertainment all day long.

            Come join us for this day of family fun!

October 11 & 12  2014                                                                                  Butterfield Rodeo

The Benson Rodeo Committee will be having their two-day Butterfield Rodeo on October 12th & 13 with all the profits going to charity. It will be held at the Arena Bar on Prickly Pear Ave. (across from WAL MART) The rodeo has been one of the more popular rodeos in the area. Benson Overland Stage Days Festival

 Craft artisans, along with produce vendors, will be welcome to come and set up to participate in this years' event on October 11, 2014, 8 am to 2 pm. The Pony Express will be delivering mail from the museum yard to the Dragoon Post Office to commemorate the Pony Express runs of the past. We are working on logistics of having an 1880 reenactment in the museum yard.

                8:00 am to 2:00 pm              Farmers and Artisans Market in Museum Yard.

                                                                  Museum & Gallery Gifts Shops will be open.

                9:00 am                                   Parade on 5th Street.

              10:00 am                                   Pony Express meets at Museum.

                                                                   Commemorative envelopes and stamps for sale

                                                                   by Museum personnel.

              12:00 noon                                 Pony Express leaves to deliver mail to Dragoon Post Office.

               12:30 to 1:30                            AZ Justice will be doing reenactments in the side yard

            The Holy Trinity Monastery will be having their Fall Festival of the Arts. There will be 150+

            booths of Arts & Crafts as well as Entertainment and variety of food. For information call

 Singing Wind Bookshop celebrates regional books at the annual Thanksgiving Fiesta, Sunday,

                    Nov 24, 1:00 p.m.  Readings by regional authors in history, fiction, national history and more.

                    right on Singing Wind Road.

December 13, 2013                                                               Christmas on Main Street

             The Benson Chamber of Commerce has been putting on Christmas on Main Street for the

              past several years. It has been a favorite of the community since it started in 2004.

 There will also be a visit from Santa Clause. It will be a day of

            fun for the whole family.  It  Will be held on the corner of 4th St. and Land Ave. from 9am until 5 pm.

The City of Benson will be having a Christmas light parade. The parade starts at 6:30pm.  

 The staging area is behind the High School Football Field with entry off of Union Street.

The singing wind bookshop will be having their annual Cowboy Cowgirl roundup on Sunday January 25th.
